March will see Irish superstar and black belt slayer Rosa Walsh coming to Scotland for a nogi seminar.
An explosive athlete now training out of the notorious Pedigo Submission Fighting team in Mount Vernon, Rosa has been tearing up the competition scene winning everything from the ADCC open Pro division, becoming Pan Ams brown belt adult Nogi champ, and cementing her place as a fan favorite on a never ending list of invitationals with her unique style and fast paced approach to grappling.
Rosa will teach a three hour nogi seminar focusing on wrestle ups and armbar finishes at our academy in Rutherglen on Saturday the 4th of March, 13:00-16:00, with two hours of taught technique followed by an hour of rolling and q&a. The seminar is open to all levels and affiliations.
The infrared sauna at the gym will also be switched on and ready to use by 15:00 and will be open to seminar participants. If planning on using the sauna please bring a bathing suit, towel, flip flops and a change of clothes and make sure to shower before using the sauna.
As a contact sport we also ask both members and visitors to try do regular lateral flow tests to be on the safe side – we have students who are immunocompromised, or who are carers, and so we are taking care to minimise risks where reasonable though we appreciate they are getting hard to come by so if possible please test before coming along. If you have any symptoms please stay home and we’ll refund the seminar.
