In our next seminar, Unorthodox Performance‘s own Ben Robson is coming to Scotland for a masterclass in optimising strength and conditioning for BJJ.

A BJJ black belt at CF24 in Cardiff, Ben has achieved a BSc (Hons) in Sports & Exercise Science and an MSc in Sports Biomechanics with a focus on knee injuries from Cardiff Metropolitan University, where he is currently completing a PhD with the Welsh Rugby Union (WRU) investigating the return to play following concussion in elite male rugby union players.

During his degree, Ben studied strength & conditioning, sports physiology, and biomechanics and he applies the knowledge he gained to both his s&c and nutrition plans.

Ben has experience working with clients ranging from complete beginners through to professional athletes and has helped world champion Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu athletes, UFC vetreans a professional MMA athletes with their strength & conditioning and nutrition.

Not only does Ben have a passion for delivering research driven plans to all clients he also pursues an elite level of competition in both BJJ and MMA and has represented the United Kingdom in MMA at the European and Asian Open Championships giving him a firm grasp of the training and nutritional needs of an elite athlete.

Ben is also a multiple time British Brazilian Jiu Jitsu Champion and has represented Wales in Freestyle Wrestling. From his own experience both in an academic and applied setting Ben will deliver a two hours seminar looking at S&C for jiu jitsu at our academy in Rutherglen on Sunday the 12th of December, 12:00-14:00.

The seminar is £20 and is open to all, book your place here to secure a space! Attendees are also welcomed to attend our regular Sunday open mat earlier that morning 10:00-11:30.
